Who We Are
Purna Foundation is a registered charitable foundation established in 2013, with a mission to serve society and support the underprivileged through a range of welfare initiatives.
Guided by the motto “Humanity Wins”, the foundation works for social welfare, women empowerment, education, health awareness, environmental protection and the welfare of vulnerable sections of society.
Through awareness programmes, community participation and volunteer support, Purna Foundation strives to create a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of people, and to contribute towards building a better and caring society.

The name
The Meaning of Purna
पूर्ण
pūrṇa

Our name comes from Sanskrit. पूर्ण (pūrṇa) means complete, whole, entire — a state in which nothing is missing and nothing more is needed.
We chose it because we do not believe anyone should have to live an incomplete life. Not a child kept out of a classroom. Not a woman who cannot walk home without fear. Not an elder who spends the day without a single conversation. Wholeness is not a reward for the fortunate. It is the condition every human being begins with, and deserves to keep.
ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते ।
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥
oṁ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṁ, pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate —
pūrṇasya pūrṇam ādāya, pūrṇam evāvaśiṣyate
“That is whole. This is whole. From wholeness, wholeness arises. Take wholeness away from wholeness — and wholeness alone remains.”
This is the arithmetic of service, written down thousands of years ago. What you give away is not subtracted from you. Give from a full heart, and the heart stays full. That single idea is the whole of our work.

Most charitable organisations wait for donations. We prefer to earn our way — by creating events people genuinely want to attend, and turning what they raise into welfare work.
We create the event
Cultural programmes and tribute concerts, produced to a professional standard in partnership with Hi Entertainment.
You come and enjoy it
Audiences book tickets, sponsors come on board, and artists — including differently-abled performers we support — take the stage.
It becomes welfare
Proceeds go directly into our programmes — education, women’s safety, health, the environment and care for those who need it.
This is why our work does not rest on donations alone. Every ticket is a contribution. You attend for the music — and the evening goes on to fund a scholarship, a self-defence class, or a plantation drive.
